🔥 More Praise for JK’S CODE! 🔥
“Ronald S. Barak’s JK’s Code is both timely and timeless, and did I mention . . . terrific? Timely because election fraud is the heart of the story. Timeless because it’s a classic thriller laced with suspense and intrigue. Terrific because it brings back Judge Cyrus Brooks, homicide detective Frank Lotello and attorney Leah Klein, to aid Leah’s tech-savvy kid brother, JK, who uncovers a chilling conspiracy between the Kremlin and the White House, only to find himself in dire straits. If the raucous runup to the actual 2020 presidential election has been driving you to drink, JK’s Code will be your perfect nightcap.”

5/5 Stars – Riveting, Fast-Moving Story Line
“I hardly have time to breathe as the story unfolds from one chapter to the next. The terse paragraphs and short chapters keeps out any fluff. This is a political thriller on the hottest topics nowadays. The meticulous mind of the main character can only be matched with the author’s. I like how the author gives a clear timeline as he tells the story. You don’t have to like coding to appreciate the various elements of the plot. As in all good spy stories, there is an attractive spy thrown in to the mix. The cast is international, and appeals to readers of all ages. The settings move between Kazakstan, Russia, New Haven, and Atlanta.”

5/5 Stars – Witty Satire, Thrilling Intrigue
“A delightful political satire, peppered with moments of surreal parallels to the world we live in today. Barak’s novel carries with it an undertone of severity required to discuss these topics objectively (as a trial lawyer must maintain). However, the author’s through-line of general levity allows a subjective perspective to form that is curious, a little sardonic, yet always leaves the reader to form their own opinions.
Furthermore, the short chapters of JK’s Code allow the wide array of characters to have their individual moments in the sun as the story proceeds to tie them together seamlessly. The few holes left are clues I enjoyed puzzling on till the very end when all truths came to light.
Though a novel wrought with political commentary, this books reads almost like a whodunit, a fun and engaging escape from America’s current political climate – in spite of being wrapped up in a fictional version of it. All told, I could recommend no greater read to welcome in the winter and the new strides the world will undoubtedly take in the coming year.”
