So LaVar Ball has arranged for his two younger sons—LiAngelo, the one he recently pulled from UCLA after UCLA suspended him for shoplifting in China, and LaMelo, the one he recently pulled out of high school to home school—to sign with an agent to arrange a deal for them to immediately play together on the same overseas professional team.
Here’s guessing it won’t be a team in China.
If the agent knows better, it probably also shouldn’t be a team in any foreign country that has malls with high end retail shops. The “ain’t no big deal” temptation might interfere with their playing time. Unless of course their contracts include several “Get out of Jail” cards.
So both of them are done with college basketball and education before they ever got started and the younger one will not even finish his high school basketball and education.
Ain’t no big deal. For us. For those two kids, it is a big deal. And it’s nothing less than a travesty.
