One day, shortly after joining the PGA tour in 1965, Lee Trevino, one of the greatest players in professional golf history, and certainly the most accomplished Hispanic golfer of all time, was at his home in Dallas, mowing his front lawn as he always did.
A lady driving by in a big shiny Bentley stopped in front of his house, lowered her window and said, “Excuse me, do you speak English?”
Mr. Trevino responded, “Yes Ma’am, I do.”
Encouraged, the lady asked, “What do you charge to do yard work?”
Mr. Trevino answered, “Well, Ma’am, the lady in this house lets me sleep with her.”
The demure lady blanched indignantly, hurriedly put her car in gear, and sped off.
Just goes to show you how a picture is worth a thousand words, but sometimes there can be a disconnect between the picture and those words. It all depends on . . . what’s on your mind. And who should have behaved indignantly, the lady in the Bentley, or Mr. Trevino.
Recently gone viral is a presumably unauthorized 11” x 14″ pastel pencil drawing of Donald Trump au naturel titled “Make American Great Again.” It shows you what this Los Angeles artist, Illma Gore, who describes herself as a “gender fluid futurist” (whatever that is), had on her mind. As Ms. Gore herself describes her piece of work (more or less—after all, this blog is family rated), “you can be a massive p**** despite what’s in your pants.”
If you want to see the naked Donald Trump as imagined by Ms. Gore, with or without all of the “gory” details (spoiler alert: it ain’t pretty, “it” referring to the subject of the drawing and not the artist, she’s actually pretty talented in this writer’s lay opinion), just Google “naked Donald Trump” (before someone perhaps has the good sense to take it down).
I wonder if Ms. Gore is related to the unnamed lady in the Bentley who drove by Mr. Trevino’s home?
